SALTAS, filthy underground noise in dark dimensions, misery and death…
Formed by C.J. and N.R. in 2017. The music is recorded as a duo, only drums/percussion, guitar and vocals.
The members have been active for many years in the so-called underground scene but this is the first time they play in the same constellation. To name a few of their previous and current bands and projects relevant to SALTAS: Irkallian Oracle, Karnarium, Cerekloth, The Funeral Orchestra, Runemagick, Gravfraktal and so on…
Two demos, “CURRENTS” and “PARASITES” were recorded in late 2017 and early 2018. Then followed by a third recording session in spring 2018 under the name “PROMO MMXVIII” with five tracks, only released on a few tapes.
Some of the songs from the promo are included as bonus tracks on various editions. The debut album “MORS SALIS | OPUS I” was recorded in 2019 and released by NWN! Productions 2020.
